Dr. Edwin Tjan
DDS
Dr. Tjan is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii where he graduated from Kalani High School in 1983. After attending 2 years at the University of Hawaii, Dr. Tjan was able to graduate with a Bachelors of Arts in biology at the age of 19. Because his passion is to help others and the ability to work with his hands, Dr. Tjan was encouraged by his childhood dentist and his parents to pursue a profession in dentistry. Dr. Tjan was accepted to the dental program at the University of Iowa, ranked as one of the top 5 dental schools in the country and was the youngest to graduate in his class at age 23.After receiving his dental degree from Iowa, Dr. Tjan moved to northern California to start his career. He is continually dedicated and committed to his professional development through continuing education. His primary focus is to provide the highest level of function and esthetics for his patients. He has successfully completed post graduate training in advanced gnathological occlusion and full mouth reconstruction at F.A.C.E., advanced esthetics and cosmetic dentistry at the Seattle Institute for Advanced Education, and spent the last four years completing post graduate training in advanced orthopedics, TMJ, and cranial biomechanics.Dr. Tjan is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Gnathological Orthopedics, International Association of Orthodontics, and the Seattle Study Club.
